A Cizhou type black glazed stoneware bowl with russet splashes. Northern Song-Jin Dynasty
Its shallow curving well with upright lip and part of the exterior walls covered with a black glaze layer onto which iron oxide slip was splashed to create the contrasting russet spots, some containing silvery metallic flecks.. 5 3/4in (14.5cm) diameter. Estimate: $2,000 - 3,000
