While mineral specimens of cavansite can be more readily found, cut stones from this material are almost non-existant. This oval cabochon of cavansite is rare. It is notable for its characteristic, bright “Windex” blue color. The radiating cluster of crystals, the typical growth pattern for this mineral, is most evident on the flat side of the cabochon, where it additional is seen to display a chatoyant effect.
Weighing approximately 14.0 carats and measuring 18.5 x 15.5 x 7.5mm
